A big pleasure.I actually knew & loved all of these.3,16 & 23 are inseparable from my regular playing.
Wonderful passage through the material.I hear a LOT of bootleg sets & this is finestkind.
I believe a listing of the bootleggers would’ve been appropriate (I mash, myself & would want that),but I also realize tracks are not always thoroughly tagged.
Very good sound, which can be tricky when compiling mashups. (qradips,as we call them hereabouts.)
What a cover! They’d be out’ta here so fast at my parties! Lol
thanks useo8. actually i did all the bootleg mixing myself with ableton live. glad you like it – i haven’t really heard many mashup / bootleg mixes before so don’t know what’s the accepted standard, i just tried to mix things up in an interesting way.
Didn’t see it as a bootleg, just a great party mix. The pieces fit snug like a puzzle. Looking at the trackisting, you’d not think the tracks mix so well. The cover is not one I’ll look at again, but the mix will be on my playlist.
I really enjoyed this to a point 🙂 ain’t got nuthin against the house of pain – good party fodder but I’m not really feelin the reel to reel vibes – too many bad memories of that kind of rubbish house music. If you hadn’t put them on it would been a much more coherent mix for me. that said, tight mixing, some really good mixes (grandmaster flash and daft punk go beautifully at the start). A good job 😀
alriley sed “what’s all this about ‘qradips’?”
Well, there was a lot of fuss at that large UK bootleg forum about referrring to them as ‘mashups’ so,some’a us local Michiganders started using an old American-Indian word that meant ‘combined smoke signals’.-‘qradips’.(kraa-dipps)
It caught on.I still hear it sometimes.

Enjoyed that, in a noisy, in yer face kinda way.
Thank you.
Does what it says on the tin.

Superb mix this – great party tunes, lots of creativity in the mash; lovely!
I love it! 😀
Liked this one – you’ve got good taste in tunes. Then Young Folks / Gwen mix was ace. Is that one of your own?
Only downside was the inclusion House of Pain. Am I the only person who has noticed how rubbish and annoying that track is
😕
Thanks Edward – the Gwen / Young Folks / Josh Wink was my own doing, as were all the other mashes.
In defence of House of Pain – it was for a house party and people seem to like that track when drunk. But no, i’m not mad about it either. Cheers…
this’ll be great for a house party i’m going to next week, chars
great use of the house of pain in last weeks my name is earl.. series 2, ep 2 😈

Hey Al,
You’ve done a splendid job with these. The opening mix is sublime. Liking the down-tempo feel of Robot Rock. 🙂 Top marks for the bootlegs.
