Some crackers in there BM… one shitty one though… Sean Paul?! I hate Sean Paul… I hope the remix is better than his usual stuff. But then again, that’s just my opinion 😉
There are some mixs on this site with Elton John songs, so I guess Sean Paul is not such a bad choice… 😉
Elton John’s boss!!!
…and “Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy” is an absolute masterpice imho.
Setting aside the whole Sean Paul / Elton John issue, I thought I wasn’t going to enjoy this one when it started as I’m not that much of a soul man. However, I kept my finger away from the “skip” button and I’m glad I did. There are some great tunes on here and it’s a well put together mix.
In short, I liked it a lot! Lots of stuff in here that was new to me – all of it good. Favourites were the middle breaks-y section and the last track.
(I do have to agree with DS though. For me, there is something inherently annoying about Sean Paul…)
Ah, there’s no real issue, musical taste is far too subjective to be an issue. If you think that Elton John’s bad… wait until you hear my Englebert Humperdinck mixes 😉
I’ve meant to comment on this for a few days, but Edward summed it up for me. For me everything except the last three or four tracks, (not including the Barrington Levy remix which was boss) were bang on, the last few just didn’t do it for me.
Absolutely no trouble here and I really like a lot of Dangerscouse mixs. Agree with the less quality of the end of the mix but 3 years ago, it sounded fine to me…
Thanx Edward. Mean a lot to me , that this mix pleased a more rock/folk oriented guy like you. I’ll will listen one of your mix quickly and let you know what I think about it.
My next mix will be a bunch of soul sista voices…
none of you have as much taste as me.
right now I’m working Chas & Dave’s “Hot Meat Pies, Savaloys and Trotters” into one hell of a knees up.
😀
Too much shouty hip hop in this one for me personally, but as a warm up mix i’m sure it does exactly what it says on the tin…
No worries – although I’d say I’m more of a bleepy noises and novelty samples oriented guy myself 🙂
I’ve just posted a new mix so it should be pretty easy to track one down!
Ok sorry for the confusion 😉 Download is on its way…
