Really had a good time with this selection this morning… first day back at work after a weeks holiday… getting me thru!
I can’t seem to stop playing the Instituto remix. City of God is one of my all-time favourite films – I didn’t realise there was a remix album (I’ve got the original) …so it’s got me tracking the music blogs to see if it’s out there…
Have to admit I haven’t really been around here that much in the last month or so and as a result, this is the first mix I have listened to for seemingly ages…
…and a fooking AWESOME mix it was too! 😀
Just my kinda beats and rhythms. Haven’t ever heard a mix like this on the b0x before so it was really refreshing!
Top choons and blended to perfection. Thanks for the trip Benchmark!!!
Finally got on to this, and I really enjoyed it. TBH I had no doubts that I’d love this from the tracklist, is that Benchmark track by your goodself??!!
Did you mix this on decks or PC? Mixing is flawless for a difficult genre to mix. Shame it’s so short I could listen to this for hours…
Thanks for the comments, I made the track awhile back and from a collection of S American samples I had in the libary and thought I could stick it somewhere plus I knew the tempo of song which helps. Again had to do this one on a PC as I had a some problems trying to get the the tracks to blend.
Fuckin glad you did it on PC… I’d be miles behind the competition if that was done manually… Not surprised at all that you had issues with mixing/blending.
Listened to this again, and it sounded better second time around. If only a ‘Brazilian’ was this enjoyable I reckon that there’d be millions of women queueing up for one 😉
What do you reckon a ‘latin’ would involve??!! Sounds painful…
this was a goodie – wrong time of year for it imho, but loved the vibes. I didnt even notice youd sneaked a track of your own in so it must have been good! More please

Cheers for the feedback, it proved a bit harder mixing some of these tracks but hopefully it all paid off.
Had this on about four times now – great stuff.
Really liking this one… one for the burner me thinks

Lol, I reckon your right. As for a latin, that could be interesting could be based on some of the aztec patterns, That I would have to see!
