Thanks Len! Always appreciate your comments. Most of these are new to me as well, started with looking up a track on YouTube then “digging in the crates” from there. Only the Jazzanova and Claussell were ones I had already. I started with the Les Yeux track much like the Justin Carter Eamon Harkin “Weekend… mix first track
I agree, I love when you can tell the artist put in more effort than cut n paste in order to give a track life/warmth/funk. I am putting together a list now for a modern Trance mix. Plastikman was the seed for the idea, with his EX album. Also, I was working on a mix from my 70’s Cumbia vinyl and other Latin flavors, then my computer took a dive (and my iPod Classic took a dive right after). The computer is back up, but I need to start again from scratch to record those to wav files. Also, I knew the iPod would eventually take a dive, so I got a FIIO X3 2nd Gen. It is awesome! I don’t have to worry about the storage and ITunes being tied together, which always leads to a crash. Also, it is a hifi player, so I can play Lossless files, which sound so much better on the stereo and in the car. I was in a rut for ideas, and now they are starting back again.
I’ve listened to this a few times but it’s taken me a while to get to the end because I kept getting interrupted. Starts off a bit too mellow for me – I almost didn’t get past the first track, although it’s grown on me a bit now. Starts to pick up with track 3 and then gets better from there. The only track I’ve heard before is the Red Rackem one which I nearly bought myself when it came out. Sumo Acid Crew is probably my favourite.
Thank you Shining Steve! I didn’t know the Liem track was a cover till you pointed it out. You’re right, the original is a bit cheesy, which has it’s place in time. I was digging through some of my cheesy music, thinking ” I really love this, but can’t bring myself to use it in a mix. Oooh The World of Baby Ford, Shamen’s Entact, S-Express, RSW Soundclash, are examples of music I loved and still do, but might ring cheesy to other ears (and if you watch the horrific music videos, doesn’t help my cause). I tried not to make this mix too samey, but building a mix I usually start off at a slow pace to faster peak. The Red Rackem is very off kilter, which should jolt a dance floor.

Nice vibes Briscoe. Enjoying this one.
Thank you Matrix! I was going for a Soul Clap or Mister Saturday Night vibe.
Loved it. Cool deep house vibes. I need to relisten with the track list, as I’ll be grabbing a few of these. Top work!

I love Real D – Rhodes That and Dan Shake – 3 AM Jazz Club. Proper club bangers! I need more of that stuff in my life.

Great news!

Oh, and I was not expecting a Sydney Youngblood cover! Rather less cheesy than the original.
