krakkin mix
great fun
Cheers Swamp for giving it a whirl this Easter break… wish I could find more time for this kind of fun
the mix is boss lad.. bouncing round the flat like an easter bunny
the mash of the cure and ruts is genius!
good to have you b*a*c*k*
LOL bong… what a corker of a comment, made a big smile on a grey day! Yeah it’s hard to find the time to immerse myself in all things audio but occasionally there’s a build up of new trks to put together and this is the result!
I’ve been listening to Tone’s audio delights for a while now and more can be found here: http://www.theecontrols.co.uk/tagged/tone396
Happy Easter mate – on to your work with the slow cooker
Cracking stuff! Just as i emerged from brixton tube, babylon kicked off and sent a shiver down my spine.
Fully enjoyed.
nice one again Len, I know that flight of stairs very well (mind you Brixton tube might of had a refurb since I was last there!). It was the back drop to my days living in south london in the 80s & 90s. That’s why there’s always a helping of heavyweight dubness on the selections
like the reggae incursions alongside Grace Jones and the Talking Heads. One for work listening.
Ahhhh, Lawdy,
S O S from mixes such as this !!!!

Fan TASTIC mix mate
Dubness in effect, innit
All killa, no filla.
Wonderful selection.
Rounded off in a totally subLIME way with Version Big Fi ?
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thanks again for giving one my outings a listen firestopper, always bowled over from your response
The bombaclaad star trk has been in Beatport’s reggae top 10 for ages
…. and Version Big Fi have a new mellow ep out… which is worth a listen

Cheers for the nod mate.
Fantastic stuff. Makin me smile out loud.
Again.
Set thee controls fa the heart o the fun, eh ?

Fantastic, even the (muted) presence of Sting couldn’t stop me from enjoying this and doing some reggae legs dancing with the nipper in the flat.
Nice post-punk vibe (showing our ages) in the first half (I also got the Mojo New Order CD!)
Couldn’t make up my mind about the Sex Pistols rework, but I then found it on Soundcloud so I can re-appraise later! No future indeed…
nice one Mark, congratulations with the young one… a solid bass line never failed with mine
I quite liked the Mojo New Order CD, took me right back to my college days. I’d been collecting a few reworks of that era and this I suppose is the result of the odd trks I’ve found with the reggae stuff that I’m listening to thrown in. I was trying to find a cracking god save the queen rerub, but nothing happened. The pretty vacant rework just makes me grin and it was the best I could find!
mind you I’ve Just found a great dubstep reworking of the cure’s ‘a forest’ – the b side is starting to shape up
Nice mix indeed…on a third listen right now and it’s revealing more with each play. I too raided the Mojo New Order CD (the Zombie Zombie rework of The Beach).
Your mixes are always worth a punt…good work!
many thanks matrix – that cd made me buy a music mag for the first time in years! Funny in the late 70s/80s the NME on a weds was a religion!
Ace mix. Got me through some belated spring cleaning. Really dug all the remixes. Peace.
