totally! boss mix mate
Cheers fellas…these are most of the tunes that were on the ‘potential list’ for ‘One To Grow On’, apart from ‘Q&A’ which is just a boss tune but not that old school, which was the basic premise of the mix.
Some of them mixed better than others, but overall it should be alright. I kind of lost inspiration on this one after a while!!
Plays marvelously.I had a blast listening.I enjoy old skool plenty, altho I have a tuff time mixing it myself.
Thanks for showing me how it should be done.
yay, very nice to listen to a Dangerscouse selection once again… how you doing? Still got the knack I see 😉 I have to admit the last couple of years I’ve had to calm down my addiction to vinyl… responsibilities etc… so my mixes have slowed right down to a once in a blue moon… but it’s all good 🙂
I listened to a lot of this as a nipper so you already had me! Nice mx man 🙂
Some great old school tracks on here, have’nt heard Fu-Shnickens for some time! How you getting on with Ableton, sounds like you got the hang of it.
Cheers all…..been really f’in busy recently with work and other shit….anyway this was supposed to have been done ages ago. Strangely I found ‘One To Grow On’ easier to mix and that was done on decks, than this one which was done Ableton, so I can’t really take the credit for the mixing but thanks anyway Useo…
All good my end ta SAT…had a very up and down two years….getting divorced (should all be done by early Feb), moved back to Liverpool and a load of other stuff in between too. But now i’m with the perfect girl and life is better than ever. Only issue is that there’s not as much room for my decks, and we’re in a flat so they are packed away and i’m having to use Ableton.
Got to admit that I still much prefer the blood sweat and tears of decks, Ableton is a convenience not a proper choice. I’m just about getting my head around it now, but for a while I was ready to launch it out of the window…
Got a reggae mix, a breaks mix, a midtempo mix and a downtempo mix to come next year. Planning a chill out mix, a soul mix and a funk mix too.
Hi again mate, I’m glad all’s going the way you want it go… all the best with your plans in the new year.
We had two years of trying to move house in the recession… records and equipment all in storage for far too long, just starting to resurface now… might have to pick your brains about Ableton 😉
Looking forward to hearing your planned mixes… and don’t forget to have a restful christmas! 🙂
And you and yours buddy…yeah no probs about Ableton…email me on stuwenman at hotmail dot com and I’ll do what I can to help.
