Nice work fellas, I don’t listen to much house these days but this kept my attention, (except the the dodgy balearic track about 1hr in). I agree with Firestopper, that last VSQ song is epic.
As is always, you have to come to b00mb0x to get killer house sets. The other guys have very boring house sets, this one is funky, deep , and jacking. Great mix!
guys this is fucking awesome, sorry for swearing but man its full of some ass swinging beats topped with classic soul vibes and some good head nodding bits too and will have a permanent placement in my phone/mp3 player…
how do you do your collabs when you live so far appart?
but seriously……
the internet plays a very big part.
how i like to work it..
i use wavelab’s audio montage as a timeline to piece the mix together as we go along..
then whoever it is starts the first tune…
sends it to the other person, who mixes into it, in whatever way as they mix into stuff… usually.. cdr’s/prog/decks/whatever
this 2 track mix then gets rendered as a wav file and then the first tune removed up to about 10 seconds before the next tune is going to be mixed in..
this is then sent to me, which i align the received mix to the previous tune to where it was edited to..
and then i mix into that.. render it asa WAV
send them the next tune for them to mix into
and so on and so forth till the desired time is filled
this can take a process of weeks or months or even if ya working with vepik years 😛
also i send like an mp3 of the mix so far, in 20 minute slabs (to save sending 100mb files every few days)
so they can hear it grow and groove to the vibe..
Cheers all – as ever I had fun doing it; bong is a master at keeping these things rolling – deep house for the summer skies – Big up all you b00mb0xers
This is the kinda mix that always plays louder than it begins… I kept finding myself raising the volume on it as it progressed. At the least you’ll be noddin’ your head like a choreographed bobblehead – at the most you’ll be swinging your hips with everyone and anyone nearby.
Mmmmmmmmm… congrats you two! Legendary efforts on this site!

the hardwork pays off… no loss of sound or quality which is something i had problems with doing a collab with a friend from NL(holland)
also they little buttons on the underside of the mixes is great makes it so easy to share music….
totally.. working with normalised wav files is the key.. good luck lad
