I’ve been working on this mix for a while, it’s sort of a mashup mix made up from samples/loops/breaks that I’ve collected over time. Basically covers funk/soul/hip hop/latin/prog rock/indie/reggae/movie soundtracks and other various samples.

This was a joy.
I enjoyed it for the actual sounds & a lot for how you put it together.

A fine,fine work.
There was lots of you in the mix & it represented you in finestkind way.

The slight key clashes like at 17:35 came across like clench & releases.
Very much thought this was an ace mix.

The mix as a whole was too stressful for my taste. But what I really loved was the Xzibit/HansZimmer? and the Eminem/Whistler parts. Do you have them as single tracks?

enjoyed this a lot! totally awesome from the mixing point of view. some of the mashups are a bit freaked up for my liking (big l for ex) – but then there’s Herman Kelly/Jehst as I already anticipated and the Xzibit, Jurassic 5 and Inspectah Deck mashes are also brilliant no doubt. might also care for a mp3 of these 😉 speaking of which, i can just recommend sendspace.com – no ads, no waiting for free downloads and good u&d/l speeds…

Very good inventive mix. Not all the mashups worked for me (eg Marvin Gaye), but with such an ambitious mix it would be pretty hard to hit the spot all the way through.

Btw… to my ears, no b00mb0x mix has bettered your selection between 7 mins and about 25 mins on Benchmark Material Vol 2.

Matrix, I think you’re right with the Marvin Gaye part it was my least fav one and also thanks for the comment regarding vol 2, I’ll make it my task though to hopefully better the selection. I best start digging!
