Just (good) music from series and movies.
The wings track is called “Bip bop” and contains the best lyrics I’ve heard in a song for a long time. I discovered that this track was covered in a french hit from the 70s and I’m addicted to it for no reason.
Fav’ track in the lot: Count five’s psychotic reaction, it rocks.
As I write this we are packing up for Turkey as we leave this Friday and I made this selection to listen to in my Ipod while I’ll be tanning by the swimming pool instead of having to listen to stupid commercial dance song (or to their Cat Stevens best of; I have nothing against Cat Stevens, but after a hearing or two I get bored).
Enjoy it.
Just setting out on this one, looks intriguing !
As a DanFan, I’m lookin forward to track 8. Not familiar with it ?
Enjoy Turkyie D, & raise a bottle of Effes to us all woncha ?
🙂
Really enjoyed this collection dEZ.
Where does the Dan track come from, I’ve never heard it before ?
a quick google.. gaucho 😉
It’s from the “Gaucho” album, one of my very first cd, the sound was (still is), extraordinary. The guitar solo’s played by Mark Knopfler
I will surely drink Efes Pilsen the hotel is all inclusive 🙂
Like most of your mixes I rarely have heard of most of the tracks, but I have learned to download them (after listening to you nspb mix) as there are always some great songs on them. This is no exception, and that Count Five track is wicked!
I almost always really like a dez mix…..among my favourite mixers, and this looks like another winner.
One short note about the Pink Floyd track…
I discovered this one by listening to some really stupid covers Disco Pink Floyd Covers.
I think ZZtop built their solos and most of their late song the same way…
@Benchmark : you got the point, I try to put up some songs I discover and like a lot and share them with you guys.
Long live the b0x, I’ve put tons of mixes in my player so I can spend some great musical time in Turkey…
Take care…
dEZ.
A great selection of tunes. I found myself daydreaming within a mist of memories and the joy of days to come. Peace.
