Well, it began with the Stars and 10000 Spoons, and grew from there. From the 60’s to the 00’s, all (s)mashed together…enjoy.
As always, “Play Loud” …..who knows, you might even be…..surprised!
I really love this mix. All the tunes are still as great as they ever were… By the way, whatever happened to the Primitive Radio Gods? I haven’t heard much from them. Awesome mix. Really enjoyed it. Peace.
Thanks Warvadal. Glad you enjoyed it. As for Primitive Radio Gods, a quick search at Google reveals a Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primitive_Radio_Gods . Looks like they’ve been flying beneath the radar for quite a few years.
A fantastcally-engaging piece for me.So many great highlights.
The ccc man alive track is close to being my fave bootleg track ever.
Lots of the rest approached that level of pleasure for me.
Loved the motion through.
A great one.
Very nice transitions. Walking on Sunshine though killed it for me. Reminded me of my ex dragging me to bad night clubs. But the Doors/Led Zeppelin bit made me smile.
I just had the opportunity to d/l and listen to your work.
This is really a fantastic mix, the music is very well chosen and I love all the tracks, mashups and transitions.
I wanted to use the Cairo track in a future mix because I only rediscovered it a while ago, I’m really enjoying this song (the 12 minute one is filled with great dialogs from Casablanca, right ?).
Thanks Firestopper and dEZ for the positive feedback. It got to the point where I had these Zeppelin/Doors/60’s mashups collected that I really wanted to compile and blend in with a mix somewhere. There’s more out there, but I had fun with these.
dEZ, like you, I just recently rediscovered the Cairo track, while flipping through my vinyl, and the ending struck me as a nice way to go out after the Falconer track. And, yes, it is filled with dialog from Casablanca.
I thought I’d get a lot more comments about the “surprise” at the very end. It did exactly what I wanted it to do to a friend who instinctively reached for the volume control after the Cairo ending….surprised the heck out of him. 😛
Great selection zazoo, top job mixing it up as well considering how difficult it can be using a lot of mash ups. You’ve managed it perfectly though. And I agree about ccc, he does a great job and Man Alive is one of his best (I’ve got it stashed away for use one day as well!). And it still never ceases to amaze me how well Heatwave goes with One of these Days). Excellent hidden track as well!! Top work fella, cheers hp 🙂

Cor blimey, what a fantastic mix !!
There are SO many smile out load moments in here ? 🙂
Personal faves include 11/12/13/15/19/20/& the primo momento 21. Stills & Zep are a match made in heaven.
Outstanding work. Thank you very much.

Oh, I really hate revolution N°9 :>

Great mix, like the way the bootlegs are counterbalanced by other stuff. As mentioned above, very nice flow.
I didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition though…
