Cold Heat
A sandy desert. Place where Hippies are dwelling, some of them flower-power-type, others more manson-style. Bomb test area. Wildlife habitat for peculiar looking insects, dangerous reptiles, strange animals. A situation between peace and threat. With these fragments of dreams in my mind I woke up the day this mix was made. A bit perturbed I sat down at my desk, scrolled through my files, started mixing this and that. Here is the result. Don’t know if there is any conjunction with the night before, but the forenoon is not my usual time for doing a mix…

I think this is definitely one of the most original mixes I’ve heard on the b0x recently and I like it a lot, it does sort of evoke the scene you describe. it certainly has a surreal, dreamlike quality to it anyway.
ye, liked it
I’m amazed this hasn’t had more comments – excellent trippy stuff. I’ll certainly put it on again.
Thank you, Steve, Bong and Matrix. Almost one month went by since posting Cold Heat and fortunately I got your three comments within more than three hundred downloads. Several times it was brought out in the shout box how important comments are. Useo8 even tried to declare a mandatory comment week. But listeners most of the time rest shtum. That’s a pity because response is most important if you don’t see your audience. It’s not about earning compliments, it’ about getting true opinions from out there. Cheers to all who give a word!
nah…you’ve got to look at comments as a bonus and nothing else, otherwise it gets disheartening very quickly. my main audience is me and those around me. nice if people want to listen on here, but best not place too much importance on it.
I always enjoy your mixes…Top notch…High quality. And this falls into the same vein. Very creative & fresh. I love the Caribou tune & although I listen to a lot of The Books, I’ve never heard their “Red Tape” tune before. So it was a nice surprise. A keeper for sure. Peace.
