Well this is something completely different from me this time around, I lost my Inet for about 2 weeks so decided to rake through my mp3 collection.
I found a Genre called Bass and had to check it out (i got a total of 12,000 mp3’s and still not listened to most of it so its always fun searching)
so anyway i found a lot of unnamed tracks and some crap trax but manged to make a mix out of it.
Im really not sure what Genre this falls into as its something completely new to me but i would say Dub/Breaks/DnB but all at a snail pace of 71bpm
If someone can tell me which Genre it is then please comment back.

at a wild guess idâ€™e say a lot of it was dubstep or summit similar.. deffo not d’n’b either. a coupla tracks reminded me of them ambient dubs when jungle just started, before d’n’b, but in them days it was all called jungle.. not really too up on my subsubgenres tbh

Im kinda gutted with the lack of feedback im getting with recent mixes.
even thought by changing genre and moving in a different direction would be getting everyones taste buds tingling. lol

anyway any feedback ?

i’ve had a listen – its pretty similar to most dubstep I’ve heard – bit more gnarly on the bass front though. if you dig this stuff check out DMZ, Skream, Benga, skull disco and loads more.

As for the mix, competently put together, but I wasn’t super down with the tunes i’m afraid.

I enjoyed the mix. I have been listening to alot of Dubstep as of this year. Its the new upcoming genre as far as UK scenes. Getting pretty big here in Miami. Alot of drum n bass heads are crossing over to this because of the variety and different ways to play with bass. Its seems to be getting good response here from the people. More friendly than DnB to people who never heard anything like this before.

Sounds like dubstep to me (apart from the last few tunes)! Good stuff too. If you want more like this, I recommend the new Soul Jazz Records compilation “Steppas Delight”. The chill-out tunes at the end were nice too.

Red, speaking of DnB i got a little trick up my sleeve for next month and i have been hearing more and more of this style.

Finally got on this…… and really enjoyed it. Never heard dubstep before, but I was impressed…… “it’s dub jim, but not as we know it”

also thanks for all the links man, i got some more listening to do Swamp thanks man. my poor wee Mp3 player cant keep up.

TMB looks fun, if your also looking for a great MP3 download torrent site then uhm http://www.filemp3.org would be right up your street. only problem is they are jam packed atm, keep an eye to see if spaces appear guys..
