That’s the kind of mix I love. Narrative, imaginative, full of good tunes and sounds from different decades. Collective Discharge provides me with delicious ear-food. Yummy!
when i was in my school spin-off band we supported acker bilk.. id’e never heard of him but anyways when he spotted that i played clarinet and he asked me to play summit for him, so i did the theme from the sweeney.. and he bought me a coke! lol
the synthetic sounds version of rising sun is hilarious! cheers lads
A bit mellow at times for my tastes.I did listen all the way through & & found much enjoyment in the selections.
7-13 held the most pleasure for me.A cool sequence.
Congrats on this one.It has a fine identity, with wonderful sound & topnotch passage.
Always a pleasure to recieve a collective discharge. A really good mix as you’d expect. I didn’t have any particular standout moments ‘cos I enjoyed the whole thing. Will definitely give this several more listens in the week.
Good to hear a little Serafinowicz in there. I’ve used a lot of look around you in my mixes in the past and I’m definitely going to have to use Brian Butterfield at some point.
Didn’t expect a mellow chill out mix tbh. They can be hit & miss for me, especially due to the times that I’m listening i.e. walking the dog when I need a musical pick up…
Technically it was briliantly put together, just didn’t suit my mood. Will keep for later though.
Music not to have sex to: The Avalanches ‘Since I Left You’ album…
my at the time girlfriend spent the whole time moaning…
…and unfortunately it was because she thought the music was crap… not because I was doing anything right lol.
Always makes me chuckle whenever I hear that album now!!! π
Anyway. You almost certainly didn’t want to know that… I’m going to get on this now! π

Very much enjoyed this. Great atmosphere created and maintained throughout. That Alexis Weissenberg “Suite Bergamasque” is awesome.

Listened (and enjoyed) again today guys. Top work.
Have you got any idea where I would recognise track 22 from (bearing in mind I’m pretty low-brow)?
it was on the soundtrack to the darjeeling limited – which has some other crackers on it too! π
nice one folks
hey guys — absolutely loved this one! Great work on your chillout mix here.
Sorry I’m 6 weeks or so behind on my listening – but I’m glad I didn’t skip over it. I’ve been listening to it for 2 days now…
Highly recommended stuff here – I’m definitely plugging it on my blog site as well:
