Haha.Slim pickings for comments all over the web,it seems.Sorry for all of us.I always say “not commenting is cheating yourself”.
A very interesting listen with some goodies I didn’t know in some cases, like track 2.
I had the pleasure of playing it for a strong visiting rock fan,& it got a big thumbs up!
I certainly enjoyed the listen.I actually went to a retro sock hop once & they would’a dug this.
I’m liking the composite cover.Needs the MITZURA bigger! Lol!
Glad you liked it, I always knew this will hit it with you. I would think with the others as well, but let’s wait…
Yeah, a true rock fan diggs’em when he/she hears’em.
Heh, the tunes are much more the central thing than the way they’re put together, on this one so that’s why the modest sized mixer name.
Howd’ya like the Ding-A-Ling one?
Cracks me up every time.
I’m glad you posted a request for comments, I didn’t see the mix.
As always, I have one very close relative who asked me a while ago to make something like that, but I never had the time to do it . . .
So, guess what ?
I’m gonna burn your mix so he’ll be able to listen to it while he’s painting at my new house, and I’m pretty sure he’ll appreciate the songs as much as I did while I listened to it in the pop-up window.
So, Now it’s download time !
(I won’t say I’ve done the thing, I’ll tell him the truth, I swear !)
Ps : It should last longer in my opinion !
Pss : old songs like this are quite hard to mix together, yet, it flows quite nicely.
He he, I don’t usually mind (that much) if there’s little comments, everybody’s free to comment or not, like it or not, share his/her opinions or not…
But with this one, I felt it’s a shame not to draw people’s attention to it.
Thanx, I had a few worries about how it’s gonna flow, as of played at the crowd [not in this exact arrangement] things went differently (went great) than I expected they would in a recorded set, but it turned out allright also, I feel.
I wanted to make it a full 1 hr. 20 min. but as of I was tired right after the party, wasn’t sure if I’d pull it off alright so just stuck with what came to me right there and then, did it, encoded it & up with it on the site.
Afterwards, I felt it actually works quite ok at this length.
Maybe I’ll do an extended version of this one, but more likely I’ll do a second part (have to make that one flow right too) up to the 1’20” mark.
Always nice to know you got ‘burnt’ and played to others who appreciate it as well.
talkin of chuck berry… have u seen the film hail hail rock and roll? the 4 dvd version is superb with all the out-takes and the documentary about the making of the film is brilliant… for me the mix is ok, i like my rock n’ roll sleazier with dirty fuzz attached to the groove… but i’m gonna burn it for my dad as he loves this sound

Haven’t, to my shame I must admit, but will look it up
Glad to be ‘burned’, it’s an honour.
About your likes in rock ‘n’ roll… just give me a few pointers (track titles) so I get the picture… it escapes me right now (again I must admit).

It’s mighty amusing.I’ve known that track for years.Sometimes the music gets on my nerves, but that’s part of the fun.
Finally got on this, and I agree with Bong. It’s a good mix but the fuzzy scuzzy rock & roll floats my boat more.
😉
Thanx for the airplay, what to say, whatever floats your boat.
