Fantastic mix yet again, you must have one hell of a record collection… great track selection, blending, mixing, whatever. A definite keeper and one to go back to many times, cheers hp 🙂
A genuine treat.I enjoyed your passage tremendously.I only knew one track-the p-funk.
I tried to play it for a guest, but they were unexperienced with modern music & couldn’t deal with it.LOL!
Magnificent cover, too. That would look great large on a wall.
Good mix. Your mixes tend to demand some attention, they’re not ones to slide on in the background. That’s no bad thing, but it took me a couple of listens to work out what I thought of it (I like it!).
Wow! I go away for a few days, and when I get back, there are so many great comments. Thank you folks, I am truly humbled.
lenodd, the tune that mentions “Ellington” is by The Real Tuesday Weld (They’re great). The following tunes are by High Tone & Chinese Man. High Tone is a dub organization who have lots of stuff out there and everybody should check them out.
dj useo, It’s really funny what you said about the P-Funk tune. My wife had the same reaction when she heard it. I love the tune and couldn’t leave it out.
Absolutely loved this, stunning – again! Listened 3 times already and will be going back for more. Great tune selection and some apt samples.
If I was being picky I think it would be nice to hears a bit more fx and general fcuking around with the samples, rather than straight layering, but hey, I’m not complaining.
Thanks for the comments, King Megatrip, I’ve been grooving on your mixes for years now, and always have a few in my pockets when I’m on the road. It’s really good to hear from you.
Mr. Lovely, thanks, and you make a good point. I’m quite new at this, but I will take your suggestion to heart and try some new things in the future. You guys keep your heads up.
Damn, Warvadal, that is a masterpiece!
Why this kind of creativity beats whatever Solid Steel I’ve listened to:
1. Great backing – no nonsense downtempo, brilliant choices.
2. Wack spoken samples – awesome
3. Fine job keeping the flow going, no oft-putting nonsense
4. The inclusion of electronica’s greatest song, Dynamic Syncopation’s “Vet Leg”
5. True to the spirit of the individual DJ against the world, music’s fading promise, and DIY culture – many thanks before to King Megatrip for this kind of pure pop
Hmmm, I was sure I’d commented on this one already. Turns out I haven’t – sorry Warvadal, ‘cos I love it. I’ve been listening to it loads at work. Warvadal mixes are definitely ones that “jump the queue” for me. Since the Sci-Fi TV one, I’ve really been looking forward to new ones.
This is great. Can’t remember the specific sections that I really liked. Probably because the whole thing is great. Excellent and eclectic spoken bits without going overboard. A good selection of atmospheric tunes – pretty much all of which were new to me.

excellent mix – love the vibe and esp like the ‘ellington’ tune and the one after – which ones were they??
superb effort once again – nice work 😀
I’ve just listened to that twice off the bat, and its bloody wonderful !!!
Bit like a cross between the soundtrack to a movie that you cant see & a bona fide album by a writer/producer/musician, as opposed to a dj mix album ?
I just know that the next time I listen to this, I’m gonna hear stuff I missed the previous times ?
Tremendous !! Thank you. 🙂
