Welcome to the box Magoo! This comment should be full of smileys but I don’t see the icons for them anymore, where’ve they gone? Anyway, I’ll definitely be keeping this one to listen to again, I loved all the songs and hadn’t heard most of them before. As for technique, if it don’t clash and there’s no gaps, it’s all good imo.
Great mix, loved it all! Technique wasn’t raw at all imo, I thought that you did very well as soul and reggae can be far too difficult to mix. Agree with Steve’s comments.
Gotta dig out my copy of Patchworks and Day’s cover of Brothers On the Slide, that reminded me how good it is…
Cheers everybody!! Really happy with all these comments…
Yes I’ll do more, a lot more. But not like this one, at least for now. If you want more like this one, it’s up to you, I’ve given you all the urls to do it… And i’m sure you will use them wisely…
My next mix will be an older one (3 years at least) but transitions are more polished. It is a blend of funk, reggae hh, ragga hh and even a bit of jungle…
Thanx.
I’ve been listening for 3 of your mixtapes (TNT, Solid Soul and Soul Formula) for 2 weeks now. Really good stuff too. Nice selection of musical gems and film samples.

I guess you think about “Heart of gold” which is one of my favorite songs… Really beautiful female backing vocals.

Besides, it’s Johnny Cash !! I must stop drinking too much, sorry 😉
Yep, nice mix with a good mix of similar but also contrasting styles (if you get my drift) and that Johnny Cash track is awesome, cheers hp 🙂
