Once again most of these tracks were new to me but what marvellous gems they are. A fantastic mix and yet another keeper from Estrada. Time to listen again…thanks for sharing, cheers hp ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
btw what track is it at 22:00 for 5 mins or so? I’m sure someone told me that backing rhythm was from a Who track in the early 80’s and was also used in a Dangermouse track/mash up?? Sounds like it might be in it’s original form here though. cheers hp
on the 22 minute starts the sound of reverso 68 – more or less a house tune. i doubt there can be a connection to the who or dangermouse. it just sounds too different to be true.
Estrada, thanks m8, the rhythm way back in the mix of the reverso 68 track sounds like the backing to jay-z – moment of clarity (spinjunkies mix) that an internet dj called Sly used in his State of the Nation mix. I can’t find my copy at the moment to check but I asked him and he reckoned it was sampled from Eminence Front by The Who from their 1982 album It’s Hard. Confused? you will be ๐

whoa…
yes, properly confused yet also quite curious by now
i’ll listen the who track later on, maybe it will clarify the picture.
suddenly it all makes sense
yes there is a bit sampled from the who track
not the drums but the certain continuos sound there, yes
always nice to learn some new things
thanks, hidden persuader, you persuaded me.
Glad u can hear wot I am on about. thought I was loosing it there. Here’s a link I found:

I think it was Jay-Z not Dangermouse an all. cheers hp
