😐
rumpfunk indeed – seamless mix of booty shaking house music, doing what it says on the tin – ta denzil – was a goodun 😀
cheers 😉
Yeah Denz, I love this thing you’ve got going. The first one is one of my faves for just plain ol’ quality house music mixed to perfection. The second one does not disappoint. The more the merrier, big cat!
thankyou, my thing is more about playin live than doin mixes so your comments are realy appreciated
😆
all mixes are done on the fly so to speak so they maintain that live club feel… hopefully
i didn’t like this, your mixing needs some work. cheers
lol
by the way i dont use a laptop or plan these mixes out la ….
Fandango is Ray Munn’s screen name.
who is ray munn
Years ago, MTV tried to champion electronic music… it was right around the same time Eiffel 65, Amber, Cher, Olive, and Ultra Nate were cranking out cheese. They had a resident DJ, Dj Skribble, in the lil area they announced videos for… and then there was this one VJ who was there as like, the electronic music expert… some 16 year old freckled brat named Ray Munns. He even put out a disc called “Ray’s House”.
Those who argue that electronic music should remain underground had more than enough ammunition at this particular point in time 😆
but he is a vj. tell the folk who get on down when i am playin live i cannot mix …..
Denz, not only do I get down to your mixes when I get blasted at night, but it also cures hangovers the next day. These things are good, don’t even question them. I’d love to take in a live Rumpfunk event, but the god damn ocean gets in the way.
Also, I don’t really know if Fanango is Ray Munns — but it would make a lot of sense if he was.
lol, mybe one day i’ll cross the pond and give it some of that house element style.
many thanks dude, as you know positive feedback makes all this ting worthwile x
lol
yes lol !!!!
I did like this, your mixing puts mine to shame (which is why I only ever appear in public with a laptop to protect my modesty).
I think signing-off with “Cheers” was a nice touch.
I’ve heard Fandango live. You can’t even begin to comprehend a dj set until you’ve taken that in. He has like… four Ableton’s — he uses the first Ableton to remix his massive record collection on the fly, and then he uses the other three Ableton’s to remix the first Ableton. He does all this live!
I remember leaving the venue full of pizza, a few raffle tickets still in hand, lefotver tokens, and a cool new decoder ring.
is mixing on laptop the same as using turntables or cdj’s…the two things are completely different in my opinion 🙄
Yeah, it’s a completely different set of skills unless you’re deliberately using something like final scratch to recreate the vinyl / cdj feel.
….Or the new Korg Zero mixers *drools* They are LUSH!!!
Really enjoyed this. Pumpin’
