I’m loving the wicked mixes I’ve found on the site. Here’s my first contribution. It is a
compendium of songs with (sometimes ridiculously) long titles–7 or more words was the rule. File under “unclassifiable”…. Hope you enjoy!
hey! This is a great mix! Refreshing… Easy, Relaxing like a sunny afternoon by the lake just floating around in a canoe doing nothing but just floating and reflecting on ones childhood and all the carefree hapiness there was back then. Love It! great tracks!
I like the intro, and in the Flaming Lips, Manitoba, Avalanches and Dungen tracks, you’ve got some of my favourite tunes – especially good to hear Dungen, I don’t hear them often enough. “Just Dropped In” always reminds me of The Big Lebowski which is great, and I particularly like the last five – “You Are The Generation…” makes a good rousing finish to a mostly fairly relaxing selection. My only slight criticism might be that Nirvana comes in rather brutally after the Avalanches 😈
A fine grouping of tracks.Sound was strong,almost too much so on a couple.Nice idea for a set.Only a few I didn’t know,like 18 & 21.Very much liked the cover,too.
Great selection of tunes Chief! I enjoyed this; a bunch of tunes that I wouldn’t normally search out.
I’d like to do a themed mix but I’m too fussy with my mixing and it generally stops at the ‘thinking about it’ stage!…..loads easier to do, if you ain’t gonna worry about mixing.

Really enjoyed this.
The element of humour is key.
Very soundtracky at times, which is a good thing imho.
Thank you muchly. 🙂
Glad you saw the humor in it, Firestopper… it was intentional. And soundtracky–less intentional, but yeah, I would agree
