Mr Briscoe I knew it was you straight away what with your peculiar sized cd covers and always interesting tracklisting. As they say in Sega Bass Fishing, ‘Good Job’! Looking forward to a listen….
That’s my older brother and I on the cover, and my son on the back. Just thought I’d have some fun with it. Thanks for the comments! I decided to do a house type mix hovering around 130 bpm. I tried to keep it interesting, I threw in old faves like The MD Express, Wishdokta, Lil Louis, PTV. The PTV track was almost Bliss , but I like the way the beats and bassline fit on Jigsaw.
Lots of great ancient house here 😉 Kind of a re-education for me. I love those old drum sounds though, just so pure and warm. Kept it fresh though with some quality bang up-to-date cuts. More straight-up action than many of your previous mixes (which I’ve really been digging after digging them up from the archives) which suits me just fine. Hit!
P.S. I bloody love that track Banana Sausage (?) with the sax synth. I’ve heard a track with that identical thum-thum-th-thum-thum beat before but with the strings from Hitchcock’s Vertigo, can’t remember what it is though!
Thanks Boston Crab. Some of the older tracks are from my rave days, or tracks I wish they’d have played more of. Wishdokta had some killer tracks back in the day . Evil Surrounds Us had a Guns and Roses sample, and Dokta even remixed an Anita Baker song to great effect. Banana Sausage was different than their other songs because it was house, but full of energy like the other tracks. I love old rave tracks like that, (Energy Flash for one) , Your Love by Prodigy (original mix), Bizzare Inc tracks, Project One (with Smokin and Live Vibe II), etc. Used to dance from 8PM till 7AM. Now I can’t stay awake past 11PM.

My brain short-circuited, I’m thinking of Energy Flash! (Sorry for multiple nonsense replies)
