The theme constant in a lot of the records I play is the element of samba. Whether disco, house, or deep house, that emphasis on spiritual release in a tropical setting has always enhanced the sound of a record to me. Sometimes I'll use it for a warm, often acoustic soft vocal intro… maybe the upbeat rhythms will make up the core of a set or maybe the mellow instruments will help close a set. There are so many versatile ways this beautiful sound can invigorate a set with energy, passion, and soul and with this mix, I tried to capture them all. With 'Shades Of Disco', Lazy//Sexy went with the full on sounds of disco. This is the proper followup: Shades Of Samba. I hope you react to it with the same embrace as the last 'Shades Of' set.
