this is a downtempo mix i did way back in May 2002. this is volume 3 in a series of mixes i did for an audiogalaxy group i was in.
at the time i was frustrated with the number of so called ‘chill-out’ mixes that were commercially available that weren’t really mixed at all, just one track gently fading into the next so i wanted to try and acheive a true mix where the overall vibe was chilled. obviously the very nature of downtempo tracks mean it’s not always possible to beat-mix, but most of the tracks here are with one or two exceptions.
anyway, looking back there’s a couple of things i’d probably change about it now but it was fairly well received at the time and i’d obvioulsy be interested to hear what folks around these parts think.
cheers
matt
