I dared not call this Dazz (disco jazz) because I have used the disco tag too often, so let’s just call it 4/4 jazz. I snagged the title from the Donald Byrd song, but didn’t use it (that and a Santana track missed the cut). I have been collecting mid to late 70’s jazz lps for a while, and have wanted to make a mix of the 4 to the floor songs that remind me so much of what house music sounds like when it’s good and deep.
