Hells Yeah! That’s what I’m talkin’ bout. A bangin mix , and an absolute killer track to start it out with , Skitzo Dancer. That song has been stuck in my head since I heard it on a Simian Mobile Disco mix, now I know what it is. Thanks!

Thanks people, it’s my first one here (maybe my 3rd or 4th proper) and I still can’t actually mix (using Cool Edit), just cut-and-paste sections and try to be sneaky about it 😉

Anyway, I had various ideas but this is the type of music I’ve been coming back to for the last ten years, the raw French stuff with the crisp sound. Just a bunch of tunes I always love hearing.

Next time I’ll try to be more adventurous anyway.

Knocking the G Man , the Moroder redone by Daft Punk? Is there nothing sacred?

Hehe! I’ve honestly never heard anyone say that before Panda. Well, maybe taken out of context it doesn’t work so well, but it’s from a live set Daft Punk did in about 96/97; they basically went through the whole Homework album on samplers/drum machines etc. It’s an absolute feast. The Chase is the perfect ending to that set, the only way to finish it just razzing through – minimal thrills, I guess my mix doesn’t quite build as well as theirs 😉

Thanks for the comments all round people, this site has been a real great find. (Props must go to Mwude for the tip-off) I’ve got something slightly different planned for the next one (i.e. just not house…hehe) Hope it turns out like it is in my fat head.

Oh ok, mad props and a gingerbread man, man.

(p.s. Soz – although your comment clearly suggests that you didn’t even listen to it…hehe)

You know something? I’ll be flat out honest here: You have a great ear for house music. That is a given… if you go to the Crab House, you’re gonna grin ear to ear with french house and the like. The mixing will get better — but really, when it comes to DJing, it really is all about having the ear first and the tech skills later (right?).

I meant to review this a while ago but have just been smothered in quality mixes lately. I will say this, it’s good to have you here. The more house music, the better!!
