A bit of crunchy eletronics is this, recorded in 2002 for a night in Bristol that I ended up bailing out of.
p.s. The name comes from the coincidence of it being exactly 70:00 in length when I’d recorded it out of traktor – I really should have thought a little longer on that one.. 😕
This is wonderfull. Half way through so far and loving it. Nice and crispy without straying to the wrong side of the dance-able vs experimental divide. There’s a sense of humour in these tracks as well.
It’s kinda similar in atmosphere to DJ Nova’s Oldskoolmonotonikantiks mix [disappears to search the web and returns with: http://www.mono211.com/content/releases/mtkdj7.html ] which I recommend checking out as well.
It is such a great listen. The j london singing was really good fun.I could never play that for my listeners. It takes too much imagination.
The motion lets up a couple times when I wanted it to continue, but this is your work & it’s best that way.
That meat beat manifesto always slays me.
You sure displayed a great sense of balance between the rhythm & the melody.
It was indeed a ‘bad’ mix in the normal street meaning.
Big congrats!

BUMP… Listened again today and it’s still great.
Surprised there aren’t more comments for this as it’s top-drawer.
This is fantastic. The choice of crunchy squelchy tracks is brilliant. There are too many stand out tracks to mention really.
I can only suggest that perhaps a lack of a cover might mean a lack of comments?
Give this a listen it’s wunderbar 😀
