keep the image size down to just under 100k please and for the next time load it to the folder that u up the mix to, cheers 😉
I liked it very much.It sounds highly ‘street’ in a loose style way.Soundscape is strong & maintained throughout.No track goes astray & in fact they were pleasing as hell.Good ‘un! 😀 😀 😀 😀 8) 8) 8) 8)

Sorry dude, I’m shite with images didn’t even think about the size.

Cheers for the comments and I’m glad you liked it, but even the most biased person in the world can’t ignore the slips in the DJ Format & Rhibosome mix, and Apollo 440 & Thes One mix; not bad enough to start again but its like 2 three year olds with their first drum set when I listen to it; totally off beat and painful.
no worries lad
😈
this looks cool! will get it 2nite 8)
I am looking for blowing my ears up in my new Sennheiser HD 595 earbins with this one 🙂
Stu: How about editing out the two secs of silence with a capable waveform editor? (I dunno if you already tried..)
I did notice the 2 parts you mention, but the strong ascending beats drove me right through into the next track. Also,I have been accused of over-enthusiastic commentary. It’s just that I compare each one to silence. 😀
Useo8, ha ha ha good lad (or lass)! Wish I could be as uncritical of my own mixes, as I am with other people’s. Got to admit that I would have thought the same as you if it wasn’t mine; if the next tune is good the bad mix is forgotten quickly.
Problem is I’m always striving for perfection with no real need other than my own annoying needs.
😆
Starting to think that this mix is not very popular; only one comment and three votes. Even criticism would be appreciated!! 🙁
You’ll need a thicker skin than that Stu! Anyway, I’m still catching up with a b00mb0x backlog and listened to this this morning. It’s good enough to be a burner (I don’t burn many) – I’m a firm funk fan and really liked the opening half, but you strengthen this by going in a couple of different directions. I’ve always thought that a mix that successfully has more than one style is more rewarding than a mix that successfully has just one style. I’ve mixed feelings about hip-hop, but the stuff you’ve chosen gets the thumbs up.
Keep it up, though maybe also space out your uploads a bit more so that you have one or month or whatever. Leave ’em wanting more as they say. Just my opinion.

Ha ha ha, yeah fair point, just been waiting for a few weeks for comments from a couple of other people and I was just hoping that I would get some feedback from fellow Boomboxers…..had a few beers as well which doesn’t help. As for uploads, got to admit that I was slightly surprised and didn’t expect it to be uploaded until November, so I have purposefully held back on the next one.
Cheers for the comments, and that’s nice to hear that its a burner. I can understand the backlog, but I usually get through them walking the dog, that’s probably why I’m slightly impatient for feedback.
Agree with the change in styles making a mix better, been experimenting a lot more recently especially as I have very broad musical tastes. I hopefully will have a “Sing-a-Long with Stu” mix fairly soon that I’m doing for my wife; full of 60’s, 70’s, soul, disco and rock tunes. Just a bit of a laugh to be honest, and nothing too serious.
been busy here. will have a listen soon as
Very cool sun drenched mix, didn’yt expect a cheery mix from the cover and title.
that bamboo’s tunes a killa 😈
The Bamboos album is my fav funk album of this year.
Great mix of tracks on this. Kept me keen till the end.
Cheers Ken glad you liked it.
Briscoe, I thougt that after I had posted it that the title wasn’t appropriate but it was too late by then!!
