I hope you like this one.
It’s like the first opus, I kept only the ones I like the most. There are some famous songs and some forgotten. Most (if not all) were made in the 60s.
Favorite tracks :
The Zombies, Herbie Hancock, Beatles, Celentano, Love & Al wilson.
looks as hot as the cover… thx!
love the way it flows, great for a listen at work
Some gems in here, plus as usual lots of tracks that I’ve never heard.
Best get in on the download.
Ahh dEZ, what a lovely selection !
Some wonderful oldies mixed up with some delightful rarities.
The intro to track 5 had me thinkin of ZZ Tops intro to La Grange from the Tres Hombres album ?
Really enjoyed this, great work pal. Thanks. 🙂
As I thought a great mix, again with lots of new stuff for my ears.
I got several of those songs buying a boxed set of 10 cds called “Hipshakers” the sound is awfull, but there are real gems in it.
Firestopper, you’re right, it’s the same riff. I believe it must be an old blues spiritual, but I may be wrong. I was very surprised to hear that in a Rolling Stones song.
Please, let me know what you think of the Celentano song, it’s from 1976 and the lyrics are about the crisis (very actual).
And if you have some spare time, search for the hancock song on youtube, you’ll see it’s from the 1966 movie “Blow up”, the scene is extraordinary (just like the movie imho).
lots of all time classics in there. my fave’s the one just before halftime… and the devil takes the hindmost 😉
ace mix.. this would go down well at the go go cage in liverpool
Couldn’t agree more. Fantastic selection of slightly left field (to me anyway!) tunage. thanks hp 🙂
