Yep, you guessed it, it’s a collection of movie soundtracks. Not just any collection. I compiled some of my favourite movies herein (according to the fact they contain a great score). I’ve not listed every picture name, you may try to discover the titles by yourself, many of those are cult. I hope you enjoy it, most of the overall mood is slow, but it speeds up at the end, just as you may read in the tracklist.
Nice one, dEZ! And to think I almost included the Clockwork Orange title theme in my last mix…..must have been fate that made me leave it for you, mate! 😉
You always have creative compilations….keep it up.
I like you very mucho, but, I will termintate
My stupid comment (w)ith
“Brazil” !
What a great selection of tracks. You did it extra justice by including Apertura, Motorcycle diaries soundtrack is one my albums of all time. Overall excellent mix!
worked really well but a bit too cinemetic for me by the end – I can only take so much - love the atmosphere of some of these tracks though!
liked it dez, nice one
liked it too. i think it holds together well even over an extended mix.
Wonderful, wonderful. Thanks a lot for this. I’m a big soundtrack/score collector from way back, and this is a pure pleasure. Peace
P.S. And what a way to close 2 weeks of Olympics. Peace.
Thx for the comments everyone.
I guess you can google everything to know which song appears in which movie…
I made another version of this, with a different ending, the difference starts at song 20 to keep the overall mood of the mixtape slow and peaceful.
I wanted to uplift the mix at the end because I also love Underground, Star wars, Rocky (huh) and The Holy Grail.
My wife uses that version (the alternate one) during her Tai-chi sessions and people seem to like it too as I burned countless cds for her “pupils”.
But there’s one of my favourite soundtrack missing : Wojciech Kilar’s Portrait of a woman. It is a true masterpiece imho, but I really hate the movie that’s why it is not here.
But, hey, there’s always place for another part, right ?
@matrix : I can’t help it, everything I post here must get to 80 minutes…
couldn’t get into this one mate…..will try again sometime soon
