Another dip into my electronica archives. A bit rough around the edges in a couple of places, and my copy of Billy Nasty’s JDJ1 is so scratched that I couldn’t avoid the skips in tracks 3 and 4. I had a lot of fun making it, though, especially annoying the hell out of my house with track 14…

Well i have scanned through the mix, and wasn’t to impressed with the 1st 30 mins,
but rest is amazing, reminded me of a live mix on Radio 1 a few new years ago
will listen properly as soon as i can

Yep, I tried to build from laid back funky-ish house towards the stormers at the end. Of course, I love the tracks in the first 30mins too and I would highly recommend Billy Nasty’s Journey By DJ Volume 1 mix (from 1991 I think) for anyone enjoying tracks 3 and 4.

Wow!! Dr Atomic and Sacred Cycles in the same mix. This looks a blinder mate, these are 2 of my favourite tracks from this era. Really looking forward to this one, cheers hp 🙂

Enjoyed it immensely.Much energy to it,& a warm,strong sound.
I see why you included the worn tracks,& appreciate it.
Good variety of sounds within the genre.Not ever boring.
Creepy,but cool effect on the cover.

For some reason, I saw the tracklist and thought “this’ll be nice and mellow – I’ll give that a listen at work”. Definitely not mellow! Although in my defence, it starts off kinda slow-ish.

Good stuff though builds nicely and very intense towards the end. I ended up really enjoying it.

HP is totally right about Dr Atomic – what a classic.
