I like the look of that tracklist….love The Crow for example.
thanks for this mix !
was a pleasure for my ears…
Looks like a neat tracklist – I’ll download tonight but what is a Vincula & why does it not have a cover
Sorry for the lack of cover; I made this about 3 years ago – failed to make one then, would find it hard to find the motivation now! But I’ll do my best to make some for any I do in future..
Vincula is from the latin vincire (to bind) – I was trying to express the connections between pieces of music that I like. To be honest it’s a bit of a wanky name that I kinda regret, but there you go..
No, no… the name make sense now & does the type of mix…justice. It is a very binding mix, great segways, acapellas dropped over it….a seamless mix of trip hoppy, ninja beats that could easly be played as a Solid Steel mix. It was a pleasure for my ears as well…maybe that’s what you should have called it “Ear Pleasure”
Well done desereves more downloads. 😆
No no….now it makes sense..& does the mix justice….a binding mix…a great selection of ninja trip hoppy beats with well thought out acapellas…seamlessly mixed…could well be a Solid Steel mix…was a pleasure to my ears as well……maybe that’s what you should have called it “Vernacular Ear Pleasure”
Well done …this deservers more downloads. 😀
This is on my pile of “to listen to soon”.
The tracklisting looks right up my street, and I like the title……but I’ve been called a wanker quite a lot before 😉
I was really impressed with this, and I’m only halfway through.
Did you do this on decks or PC? the mixing is seamless and it got to 32mins wtihout me realising that it changed tracks 14 times; seemed like one long tune!!
Very good mix, lovely feel throughout.
A big pleasure! Such fine mixing.Splendid use of pellas.I enjoyed all the ‘bells & whistles’.The prefuse 73 part, especially I liked.
talvin/food part was another noticeable extra-pleaser.
Vincula is a right catchy name to me.I advise keeping it.
Thanks for the listen.
The original intention was to overlap all the tunes end-to-end so there was always exactly 2 playing, but that was a bit of whimsy that didn’t last beyond the first few! It’s was worked out in Traktor, then re-sequenced in ACID – no vinyl at all, save a few cuts for the ready or not bit, performed by my good friend jim-jimma. I started doing things directly in ACID ever since.
So there you go!
Bump. Perfect Sunday morning moodiness this morning.
I missed this when it was first posted but I’ve noticed now thanks to Matrix’s comment. Great stuff so far. Perfect style for my hangover.
