izzit me, or is this a rather different lookin traxlist than usual fer u? looks interestins…
I knew Osibisa rang a bell…I went to the unusual trouble of using an mp3 splitter to get it out of Dangerscouse’s Fight Club mix last year. Great track.
What a tracklist! Cymande, Mos Def, Tranquility Bass - and those are just the ones I’ve got meself, wicked! “Cantamilla” is in a mix I’m working on at the moment, not quite happy with it yet though
Ha ha - the old ones are the best. Top work fella. One of my all time favourite mixes of all time. That Scott Walker track is a gem, and I can’t hear Osibisa without getting Big Chill flashbacks.
Listened to the whole thing now and I love it! You’ve actually captured perfectly the vibe I’m going for on the mix I’ve been working on - guess I’ll have to work a bit harder… might be a while before that one appears here, even when it’s finished, as it’s part of a mix challenge between the HouseBreakin’ DJs, so I don’t think I’ll be able to make it public until the contest’s been judged…
Len, as always with your mixes had a great time listening - lots of classics here - great to have some of them in the same place etc - the boogie shed’s gonna be playing this a few times thru the hazzy dayz of the summer (if we get some this year)!
A really ingratiating piece for me.All was a blast, except you lost me on the hall & oates.Good for others, tho. It’s just that I can’t (go for that) Lol.
Splendid cover.I sure like how the covers display in iTunes when playing.
Cheers for dropping by the boogie shed
…don’t believe the boogie shed hype - it’s being used as a kiddie storage unit at present - this will have to change …SOON!
Lovely mix, Cantamilla is a great track, I’d use it in every mix if I could get away with it. Sparingly used here but with great effect. Nice Doors mix and I love “I can’t go for that” as well mate. This is a keeper for those hot summer nights in the UK (ahem…) cheers hp
