Some of us have got it
Some of us don’t
But most of us want it
Show Me The Money asks Why? Featuring too many samples to mention and songs from:
1. Sky - Westway
2. Galaxy Toobin’ - Wdnesday Toobin’
3. Crosby Stills & Nash - Dark Star
4. Findlay Brown - Losing the Will to Survive
5. Chuck Brown - We Need some Money
6. George Soule - Get Involved
7. Vince Guaraldi - You Can’t Always Get What You Want
8. Alhaji K. Frimpong - Kyenkyen Bi Adi Mawu
Big thanks to King Megatrip for his help with samples and saving my sanity, to Si for his help with the artwork and to Lenodd, Al & Hande for their encouragement.
This is fantastico Mr Lovely - probably the best use of themed samples I’ve heard in a long time - so many highlights - …vision on? hehe… so much craft here …top work - can’t praise it enuf …now go and get a lottery ticket…!
Amazing! What a brilliant achievement collecting all these samples and what a perfect mix. A really precious quarter of an hour. By the way: I love your Musique Idiote mixes. Thank you for all that, Mr Lovely.
Good work Mr. I like that a lot. I managed to do precisely no work whilst listening to it, which is a good sign as it had all my attention!
Who’d have thought you could be so cerebral eh? ;o)
Nice, particularly at the outset. Cracking array of samples, but I don’t think the denouement packs the punch of “How much time…” (which remains one of my all time favourite b0x mixes).
Thanks for the tunez
Really impressive use of samples mate, went down a storm.
Surprised that you didn’t include Barnett Strong ‘Money’ & Young Holt Unlimited ‘Aint There Something That Money Can’t Buy’ and used the sample from The Blues Brothers when they go and see the penguin… I was hoping that you’d end it with that sample. Would have been the icing on the cake.
In the immortal words of De La Soul on ‘Grind Date’ “money isn’t everything but everything makes me want it”………
Thanks guys - I know what you mean about the ending. Perhaps if I’d hired Dangerscouse as a sample consultant I could have got that punch! Are you availble for my next project??
Always available mate……can’t promise that I’ll be as inspired though
TBH you’ve doing a fuckin marvellous job without me, but it’s always fascinating what other people can think of when given the same theme.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. I’ve been sat on this for ages, and it had been driving me crazy, so I’m relieved that you liked it!
A while back I did a similar 15 minute mix about nuclear war called “How Much Time Do We Have” which you should also check if you liked this one.

nice project — well done.
for the record: I provided very few samples and anyone who knows me, knows that I wasn’t providing sanity! so your thanks were unnecessary.
