good stuff 8)
Very nice my man, very nice…
Lovely change of pace from your upbeat party mixes, mellow but funky n head-nodding with great samples dropped in (and of course some of my favourite tunes!).
Particulary loved the eric b/fourtet/bukem transition, and the massive attack/quincy jones mix was genius
Cheers readybreak! I’d got a bit bogged down after all the party mixes, needed a break until i can get round to doing a new one with mr lovely. Again, this was done with a mate in Brum who i tend to do more downbeat stuff with, glad you liked it! 🙂
Hey!! I was saving Last Lighthouse Keeper for one of my finales. Looking forward to see how you used this great track. cheers hp
wear concrete boots with this mix otherwise yer’ll be kissin tha ceilin’
😯
😈
blissed out
I’ve loved all the other tactical buffoons mixes so I’m looking forward to hearing this. Will probably skip this one to the top of my mix listening backlog once it’s downloaded.
bugger me this is a good mix 😆 😆
Top stuff as ever Len, nicely flowing mix from nuts to soup. That RJD2 track gets me every time, and Last Lighthouse Keeper is a proper gem.
Fantastic mix as usual with the Tactical Buffoons, and so many highlights, Randy Crawford, Mighty Boosh samples, Zero 7/Doves and the last 4 are sublime. The Last Lighthouse Keeper is awesome in any context including this one. I’ve been sitting on it since it was released waiting for the perfect place to drop it. (That bulb gets a bit hot though).
Brilliant, thanks both cheers hp 😀 😀
btw you’ve treated the narration of LLK haven’t you, it sounds different to the version on their album (not just the end echo)??
cheers all for the comments – on hols at mo but couldnt resist seeing what you all thought
LLK was from an orbcast -didnt get the orginal version so maybe thats why it sounds different
anyway glad you alll liked back soon just off to the beach now

Lovely mix Len and Brum mate. I was in a fuckin shitty mood, but this has managed to sort it out, at least slightly!
Agree with Matt re: transitions, especially JWalk/Four Tet/Bukem, that was very sweet.
I forget how much I likely slower downtempo music, until I hear a cracking mix like this one. Took me a while to get around to it, but I’m catching up slowly but surely.
I was believing that lighthouse keeper right up until he said that he saw a dog rowing… no way could a terrier row in the sea, their technique is far more suited to calm small rivers, their legs are too short ya see
😛 😉
they can if the sea is ruff
cheers stu – glad you enjoyed – i like doing these mixes every so often as i pick up a lot of downtempo bits and bobs, as does my mate.
if you like the j walk track its a mash up by del gazeebo – you’d like the rest of the stuff he’s done – can send you a cd if interested! 🙂
nice gag bong 😀
Thanks for the offer, but I’m not a massive fan of mash-ups…I’d much rather use the idea and do my own accapella over an instrumental. Got about 100 usable accapellas now, so expect a few more in my mixes…..
Excellent mix here – really enjoyed it.
Great selection of top tunes… and the lighthouse geezer at the end got me big time!
Now on to the new supadeep mix…
Thanks SAT and everyone else – glad you all enjoyed – we will embark on another exercise in tactical bufoonery for the new year! 🙂
Finally listened and well worth the effort (as if there was any doubt). Top class buffoonery – Howard Moon is the greatest jazz maverick of our time.
cheers edward
howard moon is the man ! thought you’d enjoy the samples!
whats happening with the message? has this been blogged?
and if so, how do i find out where it is? 🙂
the url broke the front page’s wordpress with its long, unbroken stream of text! so i will leave it in the chat box above… 😉 and also pm u it and leave it on slsk for ya… so yer sure to get one of them 😉
Hi Lenodd,
