Silence is…… this selection struts very quietly! As always I made this in a copy & paste style – sellotaping together a selection of music to create a little atmosphere for what ever youΓ’β¬β’re doing. It was recorded at home over a lazy Bank holiday. Holidays are pretty much the only time I can really get to relax properly and listen to my records / new music in otherwise hectic work weeks.
Here I explored some hazy ambient tinged records along with a few tracks from the new Dreadzone album mixed with dubby stuff that I’m playing right now… thanks again for taking the time to listen π
As always, an amazing journey into the eclectic. You are not afraid to mix up tracks that on paper don’t work, but in the mix blend beautifully. This reminds me of this mix: https://www.amazon.com/High-Psy-compiled-Mixed-HIKARU/dp/B008D34SRM
Can I say this is marvellous? Good. It is π
Ace collection of great tunes, lovingly programmed and mixed. All I’d want in a mixtape really – nicely done!
Cheers Len & briscoe, thanks again for taking out precious time to give it a spin – and great feedback!!!
These days I try and pull together the tracks that can take me away from the daily chores – very laid backed listening ha ha!
Having said that, because of the bmbx Archive Mix spot it’s motivated me to dust off my pre-bmbx mixes that sit in a box in my garden shed! I’m currently digitising them and putting them up (slowly) on my Hearthis page. I haven’t played any the tunes for over 15 years and the beats are very much faster!
briscoe thanks for the mix link, a few I recognise, will check it out. Always love anything done by the Idjut Boys – Around in my town – Cambridge with the likes of Harvey back in the day π
Len hope you’re well mate π
All good in the hood, hope the same for you π
Yep, just to echo the above, this an absolutely lovely mix – put together with real care and attention. Beautiful.
Many thanks Steve – great feedback π
Len, same, ducking & diving as per usual ha ha
Defo giving this a listen
