Great concept! I love this mix. It is very well built, with the 2 hr format in mind. This is the kind of eclectic mix I am into when I think of my fave Essential mixes. So many classics from James Brown, Onyeabor, Orb, Liquid Liquid, Boards, etc, and great tracks I also haven’t heard before. My fave Essentials from last year are Avalanches and Justice. Other faves Justice 2007, Air, Chemical Bros, Shy FX, Bugz, etc
Thanks Briscoe. I’m happy with this one, though it’s so all over the map that I don’t think everyone will like all of it. After 11 months in a row with a mix, the well is now temporarily dry….
Halfway through and really enjoying this! Nicely put together with a great spread of tunes. Great job!
Thanks Len. Hope you enjoyed the second half as well…… it’s completely different.
Finished the second half and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the afro styling to the indie. Great mix all in and I loved the idents. Applause!
Loved it. Had it on as background while family was over. Good times.
Essential, indeed. All praises to anyone who can fix Angola, Louisiana in the mix. Thank you. Peace.
Thanks 🙂
The well is filling up again – most recently an excellent Gregory Porter track dropped into it. Something will form in a few weeks.
Great mix. Had it on with some friends over and there were a lot of ‘that’s really nice music’ comments. Kudos are all yours ……
😀
