I hope everyone is enjoying their Spring into Things. Peace.
Beat me too it! Actually, had this in mind for years, but nothing this good. The idea was as it plays out here, like a concert of all your faves for a super jam with the same audience. You got in Prince right under the wire, RIP. The one I’d most love to see live from this list (too late for Prince, so those in Atlanta that saw him on the 14th, amazing chance) is the Gorillaz. I really like their Glastonbury 2010 show. Saw Duran Duran recently (amazing!), and though I saw many bands back in the day, I can’t think of many I’d bother to see nowadays, though with 2016 taking them out, I better jump on the chance when one comes through I really like (Brian Wilson).
Briscoe, thanks for giving it a listen. Still waiting to hear a “Live” mix of recordings from you. What I enjoy most, about such mixes, is the ambience of the crowd(s). No matter the type of music, there seems to always be an ambient appeal.
Yes. Its sad news with the death of Prince. No way I saw that one coming. There have been lots of tributes about him this weekend. Most were very good. The only time I saw Prince live was @ First Avenue Bar back in 1978 in MINN. Never could imagine, at the time, he would become what he became. A Legend. However, like you said, we’ve lost a lot of greats already this year. Maurice White, Glenn Frey, and David Bowie, just to name a few. May they all rest in peace. And, like you, I’ve not seen many live performances lately. But I have promise myself to try an attend more concerts while the time is right. Thanks again. Peace.
