superb! excellent mix of superior tracks – right up my street, but I’m sure you would have thought that anyway. the freaks mix of hardfloor is an old fave, mixing subtle piano with a great groove. Acid Eiffel is a classic. I bought the vinyl of that in amsterdam years ago. Great work; appreciated!
Thank you Len! I got the Hardfloor single years ago, and always wanted to hear it in a mix. I was introduced to Laurent Garnier when I bought FNAC La Collection in 94′, and oddly it fit so well with the other album I bought in 94, Galaxy 2 Galaxy (an ocean away). For me, that was the pinnacle of the Detroit sound. For me, the 2 that inspired this mix are Pacific 202 and Psycosyin. These tracks never get old. My son is not a fan of any of my music, and even he likes Pacific 202. I saw 808 in 9/26/91 when they came to Tampa for their ‘Lift” tour, such a killer show.
It’s taken me a while to give this a proper listen, but just had a train journey to put this on to – which is pretty much an ideal setting for any mixer’s work, eh? Top work, liked it a lot. Pacific 202 is a killer.
Thank you! 808 made some amazing techno tracks and would slay the dance floor today if DJs were brave enough. Their work makes most of the stuff played today sound tame. Tracks like Olympic and Lift still hold up well.
Excellent mix! Hadn’t heard Acid Eiffel for years. Pacific was one of the first house/techno tunes I ever bought, that and Voodoo Ray, not sure which came first – before I even really got into dance music, it still stood out as an amazing track.

Thanks Steve! Laurent Garnier was way ahead of the curve in timeless techno, especially coming from France.
