i do like a bit ov d&b every now & then. very much enjoyin this selection ov more laid back shufflins. sum ov the early d&b i got now sounds quite laid back, hehe

Yes! Reminds me of when used to have DnB on rotation. So many killer tunes and producers. Aquasky, PFM, J Magik, Photek, Wax Dr, Future Engineers, etc. Very well mixed, you can hear the crackle of vinyl, and the way the tunes talk to each other like they belonged together, that is always a sign of a good mix. Tunes in and of themselves can be great, but I love when a mix makes a tune sounds like a new creature over other tunes (ex. One Blood in Coldcut mix, or anything in an Avalanches mix). I can tell that these are old friends to you, makes a difference in how they are mixed.

Cheers both! I’d been dying to do this mix for years. I had a few of these tunes but never had enough for a whole mix. A guy at work was getting rid of his record collection (!) and I took the jungle and house. It’s been great rediscovering this period of music.

It was super hard to mix due to the drum programming, but all done in one take on the 1210s.
