It look a fair while for me to realise what was trying to come out for this double mix – I had the foundation back in July.
All glued together with samples from the unfairly maligned Zardoz, which captivated me when I first saw it back on Alex Cox’s BBC2 Moviedrome series in the late 80s (granted that you have to tolerate Connery’s ubiquitous accent and dodgy costume).
I think Vortex Two works slightly better, but happy with both. Wasn’t much into Duran Duran in the 80s, but The Chauffeur…… what a tune!
What an intro! Loved the Duran Duran and xx too. Great mixtape
Cheers Len, much appreciated. The credit for the Twin Peaks intro really goes to Nicolas Jaar – he used it as the intro to his Essential Mix a couple of years back.
I’ll be listening again today, great selection and enjoyed zardoz snippets – never seen it.
A superb result here. So satisfying that it makes it very easy to play in one sitting. Great theme executed finest kind. Many thanks.
