Reminds me of the Quiet Storm radio show from years ago. I saw the Ojays a month ago (they played after a baseball game ), amazed they are still going. I really like the De La, 4 Tops, Aretha, etc, Enjoyed.
Thanks for giving a listen, briscoe. Got to say that I envy you a little bit on seeing the O’Jays. They are one of the all-time great singing groups. Didn’t know that they were still performing live. Cheers n Peace.
Had never heard of Chicago stepping (had to look it up) and definitely not something I’ve listened to before… but really enjoyed it. Will be stepping back through it to investigate the highlights a bit more.
Thanks, konrad. Lots of 80’s and early 90s grooves on this one. More or less, they’re shutouts to da cousins in the hoods trying to keep everything positive. And a hermitage to Chicago’s Legendary Radio Personality, Herb Kent. Over 60 years in the bizness and still going strong. Thanks again for giving a listen. Peace.

Great mix.
Thanks, Matrix for giving a listen. Peace.
This is mighty fine. Gives good satisfaction. I only ever heard the Legend cut before. Lots to discover. Many thanks.

I played this for company, & they loved it. They also had only passing familiarity with John Legend.
Did you know if you place John Legend & Billy idol in the same room, they explode? 🙂
Konrad. That’s so hilarious. No doubt, John Legend would be the “Fuse” and Billy Idol the “Dy-no-mite!” Peace.
