great stuff – back when prog house was good – got a lot of these records – reminded me of a load of old tapes I’ve got kicking around – thanks for the memories!
As good as I hoped it would be, some great memories and it reminds of a tape that we used to listen to back in the early 90’s from a night in the Hacienda, but we never knew who the DJ was….was it you Steve??!!?
Got to agree with GP as well Smokebelch is in my top ten too……what a f’in tune!!!
Only issue was the quality didn’t seem to be too good, or have I blown my car stero speakers by playing it too loud?
You may be right about the quality, the programme I use to broadcast the show lets you archive it as an mp3 while you’re broadcasting but it’s a very basic app and doesn’t have a lot of settings you can adjust, so it’s tricky to get the levels right so you get a decent broadcast and a good recording. Anyway thanks for the comments, glad you all enjoyed it.

Some great tunes here. Was this mixed live on decks? I only ask as the first couple of mixes are a little ‘rough’ but after that everything’s spot on.
The David Holmes remix of Smokebelch is probably in my all time top 10 – still sounds awesome all these years later.
Cheers! Yes it was mixed live on decks – it’s a recording of my fortnightly show on http://www.future-music.co.uk/.
