This is an eclectic mix that I pulled together recently. Starts off slow and mellow and builds up to a mid-tempo groove…covers a bit of everything.
As I’ve got no room for decks nowadays, this is done on Ableton, so it’s all about the tunes in this mix.
Cool mix, and I’m jealous because I can’t wrap my head around how to mix using Ableton. I’ve tried to fuigure it out, just get confused, so just got Discover Dj from Ion. I like the Al Green and Aloe tracks, and of course Ztrip cutting up Mowtown.
hey there stu — I’m really quite pleased that you’ve returned to the box. keep ’em coming bro.

Hahaha, got to admit Briscoe that I almost gave up as it was wrecking my head and the decks seemed so much easier to figure out. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a fairly simple programme…
Cheers Matt, got a few more tee’ed up so it’s all systems go again. ‘Two to Grow On’ is probably gonna be next…sequel to ‘One To Grow On’ if you hadn’t guessed…I’ll upload and send and an advance.
Got to admit that it is good to be back, just wish it was using my Denons again though……
Thanks for posting as well Ed!!!
a mix of two halves for me – first bit had me thinking youd turned over a new sophisticated musical leaf 😉 second half was more of your usual fare. That staying alive tune was terrible, but loved the let the rhythm hit em tune – can i get a copy?
hahahaha…I knew that Stayin Alive was going to be a dodgy one for some people!!
I’ve got another Little Kids tune ‘Dwyck’ (Rio Carnival Mix) that I’ll whizz over too. Not as good imo, but still worth having.
To be honest mate, I have mellowed out in my old age, and i’m planning a couple of chill out mixes…been listening to a lot of latin music recently too.
The Staying alive track is made up for by the rest of mix! I really enjoyed the first maybe even more than the second. You beat me to the Aloe Black track have it lined up for a new mix since hearing it on a Paris Dj mix, top tune. The Al Green track is a great one as well, my mate did a sort of remix of it and never got around to hearing the original.
Look forward to the next one.
Ooooohhhh, Mr ‘scouse does it again !!!
Great mix ! As always. 🙂
Even tho it totally jars with the rest of the content, I actually quite like Ozzy & Dweezil’s HeeBeeGeebies re-rub !!! Ha ha.
And the Z Trip Motown mix just ROCKS !!!
Lovin the disclamer at the end also.
Made me smile out loud.
Cheers big ears. 🙂
yeah bigup for this one especially the motown breakdown!
