Thanks 4 the comments guys, always appreciate your feedback, I tried to get a theme running through this one, starting with Steinski’s stunning 9/11 tribute and working backwards (and Len any mention of FSOL in the same breath makes the time spent worthwhile).
Andy, good to see you pop by and thanx for the props. Really loved your new mix album and will be visiting gybo later to comment.
No probs hp, there really is a stunning collection of tracks for everyone here to indulge in.
I only wish I’d heard this before I started the mix, as I would have loved to have had some pointers on the dialogue sections you used here, and some of those instrumentals, whilst new to me, are breath-taking. We must swap tips!
And mate, your mixing skills look down upon mine and give a roar of a belly laugh – this mix took me somewhere else the other night when listening, and thats testament to your planning, editing, track placing etc. Fantastic stuff.
Great stuff! That Sigur Ros/Song To The Siren bootleg drove tears in my eyes. But I also liked Steinski’s 9/11 tribute and this discussion about dreams and reality. Was this out of Waking Life?
Colatron/Andy, many thanks for the postive vibes mate, much appreciated. I hope you enjoy some of my other mixes (I would guess some of them are even more up your street than this one!)
DJ Xnet/Matrix – thanks for commenting both. That Steinski track is just spine tingling given the samples used in it and the horrific events it is referring to. A work of Art from the great man.
