…Oh miss Piggy!!! 🙂 I really enjoyed this rife. I had a hard time making it through the hip/hop and rap but I DID like the underlining disco, it took the edge off the rap 😉 (Disco is deep in my blood, can’t make it go away…) I just never liked rap, just a personal taste. ENjoyed the mixing on this a lot! OH! Just heard a glorious orchestral track but can’t find myself in the track list LOL!! Backing up… replay! The Unknowns are great! I agree, without music like that, life would be meaningless 😉 “Celph Titled – Turntable Science”…ugh!… “Ready, Aim – Copywrite”… ugh! oooh Monty Python, nice! 🙂 .. OOops, got lost again, rewind 😉 WoW! “Top Of The World – Dynamic Twins” might be the first hip/hop song I actually enjoyed! Good track! Surprised to hear “Frankenstein” in there, nice! OH, OH… loved the drift into jazz… So nice! OK – I have to admit I did ff thru some of the rapping and scratching… But overall a very enjoyable ride! “Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66” auh! Such a favorite of mine! These guys know rhythm and groove! So in-the-pocket! Spoken word throughout was just lovely! Y.M.C.A.!! Just lovely! Wheew! Made it through the whole mix. It was a great ride! Peace!
Mr Cheese – I was once like you. I pretty much hated rap and hip hop. Then i learnt to laugh at the macho swaggerings and i’ve never looked back since. i now realise that ALL music falls into one of two camps, “funny music” and “non-funny music”. i know which i prefer. you need to embrace the rap, it is good.
It seems this is already one of my most downloaded mixes. I’m flattered. Thanks everyone. It’s one I enjoyed making and i’m already thinking up the sequel.
