Some prog rock, some hard rock, some glam rock probably too heavy for lots of people, I assume 😉 The Jobriath track is from a vinyl lp, I never found a cd version of this. Do not pay too much attention to the Carl Anderson lyrics, this song is from Jesus Christ Superstar, that’s why he is screaming jesus all the time. Will someone know in which song the Hendrix track was used ? (do not cheat).
some great trax on this dEZ.. cheers
bb – jj 😉
Some lovely memories in there dEZ, and some I’d never heard before also.
Really enjoyable. Thank you muchly. 🙂
Btw, not sure what you mean regarding the Jimi Hendrix track ?
After the intro, the riff of the guitar was used (sampled) in “I’m too sexy” by Right Said Fred (sad but true).
rollupinmyrizla, I do not understand the bb – jj, is it bbcode 🙂 ?
still got to listen to this, but as I used to listen hardcore punk when i was a teenager I doubt that this will be too heavy for me…..
I wanted to write “Too much” not “heavy”.
Over the time I’ve learned some things in English, but I am still not that good.
The Bewlay Brothers is one of my top 5 Bowie songs. It took me some time to understand the lyrics.
dEZ, i think its another answer to your hendrix question but encoded such that not everybody (including yourself apparently) would have known at once what it was supposed to mean 😉 so to solve the mystery: the beastie boys song jimmy james also made use of that hendrix song.
but i didn’t know of the fag domes sampling that… have to listen to it again tonight.
You understand the lyrics of The Bewlay Brothers? Blimey, I don’t! I’ll have a listen to this soon, looks interesting.
Sweeet, sweet rocking music. Great Mix. Many of the tunes I’ve never heard before… But now, I won’t ever forget them. Peace.
Decent rock spread, enjoyed it. Thanks.
