Thanks guys! I’ve wanted to do this mix for years now, just never really got the right flow going until I could splice the tracks together with a few newer ones. I love that mid-tempo breaks funk that many 1990-1991 tracks have. Some faves I’ve never heard in a mix are Shamen “Something Wonderful”, GTO “Ich Liebe Dich..” and Marathon’s “Movin” Trans Luna remix by the Orb has always been stuck in my head with the Stones samples. And Renegade Soundwave, just so far ahead of their time. Finally, Inner City’s original “Hallelujah” love the basslines. I wanted to use Coil’s “Windowpane (Astral Paddington mix)” but it’s too slow, I think it would be perfect in a Bong mix though – very tripped out dubby acid.

Nice mix Briscoe. Some quality remix choices as well. I agree with your views on the mid tempo funk/breaks style of the early 1990s. Very similar to this nu balearic stuff at the moment, thanks for posting mate, hp:-)

Thank you again. Always download and store Lenodd mixes (the Martian mix I played while at Disney’s Space Mountain ride). The Stones mix is by Streetlab. The Stones are like the Talking Heads for me, I keep finding out about other gems from them I was unaware of.
