here’s one of the few mixes in the Megatrip archive that have yet to appear here at b00mb0x…! this one from more than five years ago – but I’ve been asked to make it available – so at least someone’s digging it still…
recorded for the Back to the Basics program, Germany.

“but when I turned my radio on, this is what I heard – ahh there’s sad news tonight, ladies and gentlemen – poultry workers of america just went on strike. there’s no chicken in harlem or elsewhere” …
One of my favorite Megatrip mixes yet. I don’t think there is one track on there I didn’t get on with. I even liked the Mandarin version of California dreamin!
How many more classic mixes are in the megatrip vaults?
Another great mix, spot-on samples and some great tunes. Loved the Pest track, and the spooky remix of that great Saul Williams rant was spot on. Who takes the credit for the samples on the intro? And a great closer… just.
Another great mix by Megatrip (the intro is a killer) but for some reason I was expecting some Chicken samples …not even a Super Chicken… ba buck ba buk buk bbahh
hey Mr. Lovely — who do you think takes the credit for the samples on the intro…? come on now… you don’t think I’m going to have anyone else “out sample me” now, do you?
glad you enjoyed it — got 3 or 4 more “classic” Megatrip mixes in the vault that haven’t been posted up here — and I’ve got a brand new one done and coming soon that I made for the Nacho and Pancho show.
hickory – nope no chicken samples — my brother was upset that there was no chickens on the cover — so I guess I dropped the ball this time…

I LOVE this kind of story-telling mix. And all the perfect fitting spoken fragments you used… Great!
