Is this is new mix? Probably my favourite one to date. Loved the Pharoahe Monch/Chali 2na mash up at the beginning and lots of solid tracks through out especially the next man track. Have’nt heard any of their stuff for awhile. Just sticking it on repeat now,
There’s been so many great mixes on the ‘box lately, I’m running out of things to say about them, and this is definitely another – well done! And yeah, the Giant Panda tune is great, and the Aggrolites, but if I start playing favourites here, I’ll be going through most of the tracklisting 🙂
finally got a bit of ‘me’ time – love these mixes – so full on… intense… very intense!
bin cranking the shed speakers up with this selection on and off all afternoon. I hope you’re keepin’ well – good to hear your vibes again… now to track down some of those big tunes….. 😉
ta mate, I can’t be arsed anymore with mixing just fell out of love with it, making a mistake just annoys me now rather than making me stop and start again.
I think since I got on Solid Steel it’s kind of gone downhill ever since, that was the one thing that I desperately wanted to do, and now that I’ve done it, it’s all sort of an anti-climax….
got a few more mixes to post that have been done over the past few months, all with a few dodgy moments, and then that will be it for a while as i’m gonna sell my decks. Gonna buy Ableton in the future and mess around with that instead.
I did notice some mistakes but I kind of like that you left them in, it makes it seem a bit more spontaneous rather than too perfect. I have been told that one of my mixes was “clinical”, I try to resist the temptation to correct minor mistakes but I am a bit of a perfectionist.
Cheers Steve, the odd mistake doesn’t bother me too much, it’s inevitable in an amateur DJ at some points, especially when it’s funk/soul/hiphop i.e. not really made for mixing….
It’s easy to listen to others and think ‘nothing wrong with that’ but when it’s your own it’s a whole different outlook….at least it used to be for me 😉

yeah, it’s new(ish) completed it about 4 or 5 weeks ago (I think) and just struggled to find the time to post it.
The Chali 2na track was always a struggle as it doesn’t fit easily with a standard set up of a track and ‘Body Baby’ kind of follows the same flow.
The Nextmen have made some boss tracks in their time and this is one of my favs.
Cheers for postin Warv, I forgot to upload tracklist and cover.
Thanks for the comments as well Mike, glad you’re enjoyin it….your new one looks as good as ever.

another great Dangerscouse mix! I expected nothing less though…
Lots of top tunes in there as well as good mixing mostly, bit messy with the ones & twos several times thats all i could argue.
Great stuff! Thx
Guilty as charged……. 😉
Cheers for the comments Rollin!
admittedly, for a live mix, this is pretty good!

see that’s the hassle when one aims high!!
aim low is my motto 😛
