Note: that “don’t mind this” 😉 was a joke & referring to that first one only, I didn’t mean for you guys to don’t mind tha whole thing… 😎 damn it!
Beginning to think the title was more than appropriate, heh?
I ain’t seen none yet… 🙄
Really enjoyed this, some cracking tunes in there, I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, this is better than caffeine
I am not sure how you managed to change the pitch so smoothly on the Groove Armada tune, it increases quite a lot over a short period of time at the start of the track. Assume you didn’t do that manually?
That credit would have to go to the CDJ1000Mk3, and a few takes from my part…
Really wanted to get off with that one at the same tempo as the Toe Jam.
Started out at approx. 82 bpm and right on the intro till the first scratch drove it to 100 (thought it’s gonna really sound weird even for my CDJ but heck no 😎 , slightest pause then another increase to 110 at the 4th bar (or at least on my count), stayed there for 2 bars and then on the last 2 bars leading to the chorus, drove it up to approx 116.
This was the try that sounded the best out of all. On retrospect, having ‘lost’ almost a day with this mix, maybe I should’ve just done it on my laptop… but then again there’s nothin’ like the satisfaction you get for your handiwork.
Much much harder was going into the next one, Another one bites the dust, for some reason (stubbornness) just wanted to increase the bpm on the transition, boy that took me about 3 hours to get right…
Get Down… Awesome mix. You have a solid ear for great tunes. I loved the Bootsy Collins stuff. It worked in a cool-rock-your-sucks-off funky kinda way. Other standouts, Another One Bites The Dust & Rock This Place, among others. Peace.
@ Stu: Wide (+/- 100%) on the Groove Armada (that’s why I thought it might go weird, but it withstood the test brilliantly, well as much as it can at such an increase) & the regular +/- 6 on the ‘another one bites the dust’ though that was the real hard one, changing tempo on the transition is not easy (at least not for me).
@Steve: I’m a bit allergic myself to trance, but that one’s one that always gets past my defenses, I must admit 😀
Glad you liked the rest of it.
So just chop chop, fade out & there you go 😎 perfect!
P.S. – Don’t you touch that mix, you hear! 😉

Enjoyed this one!…… keep the title.
Well this shook me out of my dubbyness haze – a fun ride – a few here I haven’t heard for ages – very upbeat – nice one Mitzura 😉
I should hope so S*A*T, if this didn’t shook ya then I would have to retire & pronto! 😎
Thanks for the comments Hammer & S*A*T. 😀

“Better than caffeine” it is then
Much obliged.

“Everyday is f*ckin perfect, it’s a paradise”, party up Warvadal
.
Gracias.
just wondering what pitch level you had the CDJ’s on?
Good mix, I enjoyed that, apart from the last track – I think I’m allergic to trance!
