the short version – the solid steel guys asked if I could do a “best of Megatrip” mix… taking my six previous solid steel mixes – boiling them down to the best bits. here’s the result! first off, I was quite honored to be asked — and secondly, it was great fun to go back and visit with these old mixes and to have the chance to fix things & work things a bit differently. enjoy!
Having heard only one other of your solid steel mixes, this is basically all new to me, and I must say it is another gem of, as solid steel would say, “the broadest beats’.
Love all the speech samples you must have spent a a lot time gathering all those!
Nice one.
Quite the trip, only note though, the 20 & 21 brought mood a bit down (and contrasted an idea – at least for me – with the rest), but then ‘Take me home’ felt like it belonged.
P.S. – We had a singer called Gil Dobrica covering ‘Take me home’ (translated in Romanian) and his voice sounded so similar, though gave off a tad more up vibe.
mate, just great!
an all time five star fav on my ipod… what more can i say.
lucky you to have the finest station braodcast this top knotch stuff out into the whole world.
